As a Church family, we are committed to ministering together, serving one another and being served in turn. To assist with a healthy and safe ministry environment, we follow a risk management policy which includes formal training, documentation, and standard practices for our ministry areas. Because we care for a diverse community including minors and vulnerable adults, as well as having youth volunteering in a wide range of areas, all those serving in formal ministries are required to complete the EAC Risk Management program. Mandatory training will be offered, both for those new to our Risk Management program, and for those due for a shorter refresher course, and will be scheduled through the Church office.

Adult Orientation Training is required if you:

  • never participated in any training with our Risk Management Policy (online or in-person)
  • are planning to serve in our children's ministries or other ministry areas for the first time
  • the last time you participated in any training was over 2 years ago

Available Training Sessions:

    • Saturday, September 16, 1-3:30pm
    • Saturday, September 30, 1-3:30pm

Adult Refresher Training is required if you:

  • participated in any type of training last year

Youth Worker Training is required if you:

Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Check - BRING 2 PIECES of government ID to the training - one must be a photo ID

  • A police check is mandatory every 3 years. You will be advised individually if, when and how to obtain one by our administrator at the training. A formal letter is required from EAC for all volunteers to include with your Police Check/Vulnerable Sector Check to have the FEE waived. A copy of your ID will be taken and the church will initiate that process for you. *Residence outside of Saskatoon will visit the RCMP for that check.
